I’ve had the great opportunity to work with Lucid Motors to create a system that helps drivers achieve balance in their lives and become better versions of themselves every day, we called it Serenity. As a UX/UI Designer, I collaborated with a talented team to reimagine the car as more than just transportation, but as an extension of our lifestyle. I’m deeply grateful to Lucid Motors for this amazing opportunity and to my team, professors, and faculty for their unwavering support.
Idea & Philosophy
Wellness is not a passive state but rather an “active pursuit” that is associated with intentions, choices and actions as we work toward an optimal state of health and wellbeing. With our serenity system which attends to our mind, body and soul we can achieve an over all long lasting balance. We strive for efficiency and development, going beyond the expected and driving towards the future, one recharge at a time.
Problem
In today’s fast-paced, technology-driven world, the prevalence of stress and the difficulty in finding balance have become increasingly apparent.
Insights
Balance can’t be taken for granted past a certain age; it must be maintained — both in mind and body. A sharp mind helps you to think — and stay — on your feet. When you are stressed, anxious, or upset, your body reacts physically. For example, you might develop high blood pressure or a stomach ulcer after a particularly stressful event, such as the death of a loved one.
Solutions
By attending to our mind, body and soul we can achieve an over all long lasting balance. Creating a system where monitoring and analyzing help the individual extend and reach beyond while maintaining balance
System
Poor emotional health can weaken our body and vice versa
Monitoring
Responding
Analyzing
The analyzing system is cooperating with responding and monitoring system
UI/UX Design
Window Screen
The UI is intuitive by offering simple notifications on the next directions on the trip. AR is incorporated into the window screen to simplify the directions and to keep the driver focused on the road.
Placing the right information at the right time, and right place. E.g., What’s today’s schedule? Or what’s today’s weather like? We want to keep the interface intuitive by placing the information according to ergonomics and natural anticipation.
Pilot Screen
Preparing for what‘s ahead while improving the current state. Keeping mind and body in balance, motivation and alertness is anticipated, and tension is located and improved. Mind and body = Soul
